Announcements Tech Tip

This week I figured out that you can subscribe to emails for class announcements. This is king to be EXTREMELY helpful. I did not know you could do this. Too often, I miss announcements because I figure all the important information would be sent in a email. Then I check the announcement page and I've missed something important. Now, I only have to worry about checking my email. I wish I had known about this freshman year.

  1. Hey carrie for some reason your comment wall is not allowing me to post my comment about your storybook so I am going to post it here! P.S. GREAT TIP.

I really enjoyed reading some of your storybook! I think the cover page is excellent and I am glad you chose to include pictures of each woman you will be focusing on in the storybook. The tinted color of each image fuse them together and this is pleasing to the eye. I think your introduction was a creative setup to how the stories of each woman in the storybook will be told. I could not help but think of the movie ‘The Zohan’ when I was reading Yama’s words of how he decided to pursue his passion in hair. I like how you included a lot of information from the Ramayana and also some research information like how often women would get their haircut! I chose to read the story of Sita because she is my favorite character from the book. I think you did a great job of capturing her personality and coaxing her to tell her story through dialogue with Kaikeyi and Sita. I think it was smart to have them bond after both being kind of looked down upon by the same kingdom. Also, the transition into the next story is well played out on mentioning Draupadi. I cannot wait to read that one because she is also one of my favorites! Overall, I think you have a great storybook and it looks like it was a lot of fun to work on. Great job!
